Booking Swiss Overview

This project arrived at the company as an already started, but not ready for intentional use. The goal was to create a clear and easy-to-use custom booking website for the company’s hotels in Switzerland. The website had to provide a possibility of a comprehensive overview of the apartments, a fast and easy option of booking, and be available on all devices, desktop and mobile, so that tourists could easily access it while on a trip.

There is also an option to list your own property and become a member of the apartment chain. The solution allows to rent, and, at the same time, to get a source of income for owners of rental property.

Business Request

The client addressed to the company to enhance the existing website for booking apartments in Switzerland. The main request was initially to add more hotel locations, update existing information on the site etc. Later, another request for one more application called 247Concierge has appeared aimed to provide special services related to hotel business.

Project Goals

The project was aimed to add more hotel locations, improve look and feel of the website, increase its usability and bring it with accordance to customers’ expectations, alongside with legal information and regulation requirements for hotel business in Switzerland.

Also, it was necessary to make necessary changes in the application design according to seasons, add real photos of apartments, introduce team members to the users etc.

Hotel Booking Website Design

The interface is user-friendly and bright, performed in white and red colors. After some redesigning and updates were made, the following sections appeared in the menu:

Apartments – a list of the company’s apartments available for booking;
Car Rental – another type of service for renting cars;
Activities;
Contact Us;
List Your Property;
Work with Us.

Tech stack

During the hotel booking website development, our team used React.js technology on the front-end to ensure fast performance and seamless component composition in a single system, while the back-end used Python.

Choose an apartment among the list of registered property provided. The selection is performed from the site menu, so booking data modal has a pre-filled field after the selection;
Set the travel arrangements and check the apartment availability;
Review the free apartments details through description;
Order transfer;
Order additional services like flowers or car parking;
Rent a car through the site;
View a map for better understanding of the geographic surrounding;
List property for rent – to become a member of the property owners team;
Find a job through “Work with Us” section – for those looking for a job in hotel business.
