Business Challenges
The company needed to have a single system to manage its cargo deliveries, selecting and assigning drivers, review employees and their details, as well as its assets, and for reporting purposes. It could allow the company to improve its processes, optimize costs, track time and funds spent on the routes, and manage workforces efficiently.
Solution
The system design was created by our company from scratch. As for the systems of that kind and purpose, design was minimalistic, with screens performed as dashboards with tables containing relevant data. The colors for dashboards are mostly white and gray, with bright red for buttons. This allows to focus on important details without distraction, and clearly see necessary buttons for selection.
Design of the system is responsive and adaptive, available on mobile and tablet devices to allow system utilization on a trip.
Development
Vite+ReactJS alongside with Typescript were used for frontend development to provide seamless system operation and prompt request processing.
Functions
With this system, the company’s managers can do the following:
- Add jobs for cargo transportation;
- Allocate jobs to drivers;
- Track cargo delivery on its way;
- Review analytical dashboard with charts;
- Add and manage company employees to the system;
- Add and manage information on company’s assets — trucks, trailers etc;
- Create and review reports;
- Add information on spare parts necessary;
- Add information on truck or trailer repair works;
- Manage financial issues.
Result
The company operates a logistics management system with all necessary data managed through it. The processes became traceable more easily through automatized approach; calculation of time and cost is more accurate.
